Overview

9/16-26 Spline X 3/4 Inch Bored Roller Bearing Steering U-Joint.

The Spline is correctly sized to fit the Stiletto 20:1 Ratio Gen 5 Small Box (C42-348 series), Stiletto 20:1 Ratio Pro-Box, and Pinto OEM style rack.

The splined end has two 1/4-28 NF set screws, offset 90 degrees from each other. This dual set screw design draws up the connection, thereby eliminating the potential of undesirable lost motion with normal spline clearance. To prevent spline deformation the locking screws are positioned to lock down in retaining groove located on splined area of the pinion.


Roller Bearing Steering U-Joints are Smooth

These durable and smooth operating Steering U-joints are engineered for high load applications. Precision machined alloy steel bodies are fitted with caged needle bearings and a slight pre-load to create a joint without backlash. This results in enhanced sensitivity at the steering wheel, making even the smallest amount of steering input more effective.

Designed for longevity without compromise, they are pre-greased and effectively sealed with hi temp O-rings to retain grease in severe conditions. Capable of a maximum of 32 degrees of operating angle, with a recommended angle not to exceed 20 degrees for the smoothest result.


Steering U-Joints that fit

The splines in these U-joints are precision broached to the correct size. We have found that this is often not the case with competitive brands of U-joints, as they have designed their spline broaching tooling off of generations of parts in service and not to the original manufacturers specifications.
