When there’s business behind a side panel or deck lid, the Pro-Werks surface mount 6061-T6 aluminum access door kit gets it done quickly and cleanly. The finished installation is smooth — the top surface of the door and latch sit flush with the panel surface, with the lock mechanism recessed below. The unique aeronautical-styled door adds a touch of class to any custom fabricated build. Available in two sizes:
- Small — 5" x 5" — Pro-Werks Aluminum Access Door Kit — includes aluminum door, stop flange, aluminum hinge, flush mount release & pop rivet hardware
- Large — 8" x 12" — Pro-Werks Aluminum Access Door Kit — includes aluminum door, stop flange, aluminum hinge, flush mount release & pop rivet hardware

Aircraft Grade Access Door Release — Flush Mount, Spring-Loaded Latch
The Pro-Werks stainless steel aircraft grade door release (C73-480) is the same high-quality latch included in every Access Door Kit — also available separately for custom builds. Spring-loaded with a positive lock, it releases with one finger and resets just as easily. No special tools required. Features a 1/16" offset so the latch face sits perfectly flush with the panel surface when installed.

Lightweight Aluminum Access Door Hinge — Military Spec, Cut to Length
The Pro-Werks aluminum piano-style hinge (C73-485) is the same aircraft grade hinge included in all Access Door Kits — and available separately for custom fabrication of hinged panels, deck lids, and access doors. Constructed of lightweight anodized aluminum with a plated steel pivot pin. Mounting flanges can be drilled to your desired hole spacing for rivets or screws.

PRO TIP: How to Select the Correct Size
First determine the space available on your body panel to mount the door, then consider the size of the opening required to access what’s behind the panel. The 5" × 5" kit suits tighter spaces and single-component access; the 8" × 12" kit is ideal where larger openings or multiple access points are needed. All you need to install is a few tools and a little determination.
